The EU Competition Commissioner has threatened to break up Google.

According to a report by the AFR, this comes shortly after the revelations that Cambridge Analytica used Facebook data while working for the Trump campaign.

Margrethe Vestager, European Commissioner for Competition, said her officials have ”grave suspicions” about the firm, which has a 91.5 percent share of the search engine market in Europe.

The AFR reported that, while Vestager said she believes there is no ban on success in Europe, it has been proven that major tech giants, like google, misused their dominance to promote themselves and diminish the competition.
