Purpose:
 
As a Risk and Compliance professional it is not always easy to get stakeholders on-board with initiatives especially when these don't align with business priorities and focuses. Being able to influence outcomes and get buy-in from key stakeholders is a vital part of being an effective communicator as a Risk and Compliance Professional. The purpose of this course is to equip participants with practical tools for meetings and presentations designed to not only communicate messages clearly but to communicate with influence and take 'others along on the journey.'
 
Training approach:
 
This is a very practical course where tips and tools are provided, practice time is given and expert feedback provided to ensure participants are equipped with all they need to use the tips and tools in practice every day.
 
Content Overview:

  1. How to 'frame' at the start of meetings and presentations to 'get buy in' from the outset, build rapport and engagement and start strong building momentum in the discussion from the beginning.
  2. Framework for reading various communication style and preferences and how to flex and tailor your style accordingly as part of influencing
  3. Story-telling technique that can be used in impromptu scenarios and formal presentations to paint a picture, highlight key messages and influence.

Sarah is a trainer, facilitator and corporate consultant focused on developing leaders and assisting individuals in the development of communication skills.
 
Drawing upon her international corporate experience, Sarah has an ability to develop and deliver technical, leadership and communication skills training by breaking down concepts making it practical, relevant and engaging. Sarah draws on her expertise in leading teams and developing others through mentoring and coaching. She has over 12 years of expertise as a public speaker and experienced in speech writing/presentations and providing constructive feedback to presenters at all levels.
