This one day course in the Risk Management Standard takes a practical view of risk management in operation and is designed to provide you with a deeper understanding of risk management for the Board, the Executive, managers and staff across private, government and not-for-profit sectors.
Using the principles of ISO: 31000 and the facilitator’s many years of international and domestic risk management experience, the course will provide you with an understanding of benchmarking the management of risk in your organisation.
Using practical examples and discussion, the course addresses:
Environmental scanning to establish context for identifying and managing risk
Environmental scanning to understand stakeholder expectations and their impact on your organisation’s risk management framework, appetite and conduct expectations
Establishing and managing risk appetites and profiles
Aligning the organisation’s risk practice to the Boards’ risk appetite and risk conduct expectations
Applying risk management in practical but complex situations
Strategy and risk
Rating and ranking risks and developing, implementing and testing controls
Establishing risk governance and a healthy risk culture
Conducting post incident and risk reviews
Evaluating the risk management system from Director to front line.
