GRCI's central purpose is to provide the tools and support our members need to build robust and engaging compliance frameworks in their organisations.

Some members, working in small to medium sized entities, have flagged that they need the kind of one day course that they could send senior managers and new directors on, to help with their induction and understanding of their governance level responsibilities, as well as understanding how compliance and risk management works, what they might report up to the various committees and board, how to understand the implications of these reports and how this fits with their fiduciary duties.

If you need to quickly get a new director up to speed and want to be able to demonstrate that you took your onboarding seriously, this is a great start to help them engage with their responsibilities. Delivered in partnership with Ethical Leadership & Compliance Australia the pricing for this course is designed to assist our members obtain quick approvals. It is anticipated that directors may then wish to further their education by undertaking more formal qualifications but this is a quick start solution to equipping them immediately.

Brett Flower has spent 30 years owning and managing businesses. His journey includes a humble trade background, where he started a HVAC business the day after he finished his Mechanical Engineering Cadetship; through to his most recent role as Managing Director of the multimillion-dollar Australian subsidiary Reinhausen Australia, the 2nd oldest subsidiary of the 118-year-old Global Electro Mechanical Engineering German Icon; Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen.
 
He has previously been the General Manager of the American Chamber of Commerce, an International Olympic Committee (IOC) Relations and Protocol Manager for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and the National Sales and Marketing Manager of a wholesale Ski Company within the Tourism Industry.
 
Brett advises organisations on business turnaround, cultural reform, growth strategy, corporate governance and workplace health & safety (WHS), providing business owners, aspiring leaders and managers, officers and front-line staff with a pathway to growth, sustainability and long-term success.
 
Brett holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Corporate Governance Research (HD), a diploma in WHS, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), a Certified SafeWork NSW Construction and Health Safety Representative (HSR) Trainer and is also a qualified Trainer and Assessor.
