Jeannette Scott
Consultant Counsel – Privacy & Regulatory Knowledge Manager,
Moulis Legal

A Consultant Counsel with Moulis Legal Jeannette was originally admitted as a barrister in 1996.  Her experience includes over 15 years in the regulatory environment with a focus on privacy, marketing, consumer law and financial services. She is a member of various professional bodies including ACLA (Australian Corporate Lawyers Association), GRCI (Governance Risk & Compliance Institute), and iappANZ (International Association of Privacy Professional Australia New Zealand). 

In private practice since the end of 2016 Jeannette was previously with the Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) as Director - Legal & Regulatory Affairs.  Prior to that in Jeannette was with the Heart Foundation for over five years, most recently as National Manager – Legal, Compliance & Risk. Her background spans the travel, hospitality and financial services sectors, focusing on regulatory compliance and risk management. During her time at Accor Première Vacation Club, she received a national recognition award from the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council as a result of her work briefing the sector on the implementation of the Do Not Call Register.

Jeannette was one of the inaugural recipients of the designation CCP (Certified Compliance Professional) from the Australasian Compliance Institute (as it then was) in 2006 and currently chairs their Awards Committee.

Jeannette has dealt with all aspects of consumer law and consumer communications, including marketing and advertising compliance and related advocacy issues. With significant commercial, legal and regulatory knowledge as well as practical commercial and not-for-profit experience, Jeannette brings that experience to private practice.  She is in a unique position to understand current and changing regulatory needs from a commercial perspective.

Suzanne Giles
Corporate Compliance and Privacy Manager,

Suzanne is compliance and privacy professional with experience in the aviation and resource sectors. She has worked on major project approvals for oil and gas multinationals and more recently operates within the corporate governance functions of risk management, compliance and privacy. She currently manages the Corporate Compliance and Privacy Program at Brisbane Airport Corporation and is passionate about finding compliant business solutions within the global regulatory landscape.
