Increasing levels of regulation and a greater focus on data and reporting have brought the emerging and fast-growth area of RegTech into the spotlight over the last 12 months. RegTech, as it has become known, is revolutionising how we deal with increasing levels of regulation in a changing world. In March The RegTech Association was formed to help shine a light on this growing area in Australia.
Join us for this intimate networking event to hear from some of the key thinkers in the RegTech area. 

The Panel: 

  • Liam O'Brien - Senior Consultant - GRC Solutions - Moderator 

Liam is a senior consultant and subject matter expert at GRC Solutions. He has worked
for large and diverse organisations in senior management roles since 2003, including
Suncorp, SAI Global and QR Limited. He has provided expert content to professional
development courses for industry bodies such as the Governance Institute and
several universities. He is a professional trainer and often speaks at conferences and
networking events for industry associations such RMIA, GRC Institute, Governance
Institute, Institute of Internal Auditors and the IAPP.
Liam has been a board member of the ACI (now GRC Institute), he is Chair of the
Compliance Committee for Social Investments Australia and Foresters Community
Finance and is a founding Director of Help Me With It.

  • Lisa Schutz - Director - RegTech Association (Founder and CEO of Verifier and Infact Decisions) - Panelist 

Lisa has a Master of Commerce by Research in Information Sharing in Credit Markets. She is Managing Director of fintech company Verifier (www.verifier.me - a globally leading-edge data sharing platform that uses Privacy-by-Design to enable consumers and small businesses to share more data to access better deals, whilst keeping control of both their data and online safety) as well as InFact Decisions, a data analytics and strategy company.

She is one of the three finalists as Female FinTech Leader of the Year in the 2nd Annual FinTech Awards 2017.

  • Amanda Noble - Advisory Committee - RegTech Association (Founder & CEO - 43 North) - Panelist 
With over 20 years’ diverse experience as a lawyer; risk, governance and data management executive; start-up mentor; and in system implementations in large/global banks and insurance companies in Australia and Europe, Amanda adds a wealth of strategic and operational experience to support her client’s success.

Amanda and her team’s knowledge of industry best practice drives their innovation, advice delivery, and customer service. She has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by senior executives, CEOs/founders and boards in driving personal and organisational performance with a keen sense of operational excellence and a commitment to stakeholder communication.   

Amanda holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, BA (UNSW), Dip Law (SAB), is a graduate of the
Australian Institute of Company Directors, a trustee director at Trust for Nature, and an Advisory Committee Member for RegTech Australia.
